Falling into Me

The beauty behind being a mother is discovering who you really are as a person. I have found that it isn't until a woman experiences motherhood that she  truly becomes the woman she was born to be. Growing up, our environment, community, family life and culture help to shape the values and life lessons that instill our character. We all know the difference between right and wrong, but our emotions get the better of our reactions in every day situations. This got me thinking; if we know right and wrong and then know the kind of heart we have, why aren't we  showing that in our daily lives. Are we exposing our hearts so that others can see the beauty behind our eyes or feel the kind spirited soul that lies inside each of us.  Or are we too afraid to show our true side, by failing our true characters and resting on the safety of walls we've built to protect ourselves from rejection, judgmental perceptions, and out of fear we will not be understood or accepted.

This month Andy and I have been reintroduced to Church and for me it was a spiritual release.  After attending Church  I have been working this month on giving. What does that verb mean anyway? To "give" by definition means, "to freely transfer the possession of (something) to (someone)." So here we have it, to give means to hand over, grant, allow, or permit something to another. For me I decided it was time to de clutter my closets and give to those who needed it. I had intended to sell my designer jeans and name brand  items on Facebook sites who listed such adds, but I had a thought... Why not give it all away and bless someone with possessions I no longer needed. WHY NOT? So I did. I packed two giant garbage bags full of my things, and  after doing so I felt amazing.

I have spent so many hours asking GOD to receive his blessing's and the entire time what was missing was the absence of my spirit for giving. After all, don't we as moms first love to give to our family, and is it not in our nature to give all of ourselves before we worry about our own needs? It is my belief that we all fall victim of taking for our own selves, not because we need it, but because we feel entitled to a little selfishness. I think this is where we get lost and fall onto possessions to fulfill us. I have discovered that sure I love nice things, but my happiness doesn't depend on them. My happiness is indigent on what lies in my heart.  For me this has been the spirit of giving. Giving not just my possessions, but  of my heart. To fully expose my heart in a way that accurately reflects the best version of myself to every person I come into contact with. Now with that I am human and I am by no standards  perfect. We are all perfectly imperfect and that humanness is what makes us beautiful.  Now here's a bit of fun from the past few weeks!
Two things that will bring a smile to a simple girls heart... A fresh cut n' color with a BOLD lip. Yes. It is that simple my friends. The secret to fall fashion is a BOLD lip.

Mommy works from home, finds time to fit in her own workout, and teaches fusion classes at least twice a day. Harlow is just the cutest here, sitting like an angel oh so patiently letting mommy get her work done. Daddy managed to catch this because it doesn't happen all that often. lol.

Of course our little sweetie pie needs some loving from mama. No better time to take a break. :)

One of my students showed up to my class and informed me I wasn't supposed to look cute when I teach my classes. Here's the deal...That just wouldn't be me. lol. One must always, always present herself to the world with her best foot forward. Biggest peice of advice, be presentable. Just because I work from home doesn't mean my appearance is laxed in the slightest.

Gym time selfie. Keep your head up and keep moving forward. Don't listen let the voices of  negative people, instead listen to those who uplift you who support your goals and dreams. Shirt: H&M  Pants: Mareka Tek

Riding with my babes. Cutest little people I know.  My wish is that my twins will always be proud of their dad and I. They are my reason and why for everything.

I know, I know another sink shot, right! My obliques have been doing three workouts a day and they are needing to be uncovered and needed a little bathroom selfie. They deserve a little shout out. Something I always say in my classes is how eveyone wants to be cut in their bellies, but nobody wants to work for it.... WORK FOR IT.

Little muchkins getting their social hour in at the gym. One thing I have noticed with having twins is how social they are with others. Since in the womb they've always had a play mate by their side, and it has been  an advantage in social settings. They are easy to reason with and they know how to share very well. They just rock. lol.

This is Becca,  my manger at the studio I teach at. She's an advanced yogi, I'm an intense circuit trainer, together we share the same passion for heath and fitness. Becca is such a beautiful spirit, she invites all of her students to expose their hearts to the rest of the world to fully receive life's beauty. I could listen to her all day in her holy yoga classes, where she combines her love for Jesus and bendy fun on the mat. We are both momma's, both prefectly imperfect and proud of it. I love this chic. Becca is FAB.

The hubs and I went to see a movie, almost hardle ever happens. I had to embarass him and snap a pic of his handsomeness. He is such a stud. Easy on the eyes. He's my favorite.

I am loving being married to this handsome. AHHHH. Never gets old to have him call me his  Mrs.

Going out of our comfort zones  is what allows us to pursue goals and dreams. Staying comfortable is meant for the couch or the bath at night. Life is all about comfort levels, choose wisely. Progress or regress.

My family. There's no greater JOY  than knowing these three love me the most.

Goodbye Summer--

As we let go of summer highs and lows, we allow her to fall to the way side and therefore I am looking forward to all that fall brings, with her beauty... First up, cooler temperatures, fashion, fitness goals and new opportunities... To name a few of my personal favorite things about Fall, scarves, boots, pumpkin spice lattes, and the delicious spiced scented candles. Oh yes, so many things to list, I could go on and on. My favorite thing about seasonal changes is always what is on the horizon for my fitness goals. As the seasons change, so does my body's development and focus factor. I always switch up my routines.  Summer was all about leg days and intensive cardio training, like the 5K Challenge. For Fall, an opportunity was offered for me to teach my own TRX suspension training classes and thus my workouts have shifted to all TRX high intensity formats. So as we say goodbye to the last days of September and embrace the cool of October, here's a look back at a few of my favorite moments...

GYM LIFE!!!During summer and especially September there are glimpses of fall coming.. On this particular day I was so excited to be able to wear a jacket... It really is the small things that make or break your day.

Went to meet up for a baby playdate with some family. I refuse to run around all day, or any day without makeup and a decent ounce of style. I am who I am and having the twins didn't change that factor. As Andy always says, "look good, feel good, feel good- play good." I couldn't agree more. Simply by taking a shower, putting on some mascara and lips, it greatly effects how you feel and how your day will go. That is the difference between standing out or hanging back and going unnoticed. You are the maker of your own happiness. It all starts with YOU.

Fun fact, Andy and I are newlyweds. We had a very nontraditional wedding on a cruise ship this last August and spent the rest of our time honeymooning the Carribean. It was amazing to have had the time without the twins so we could fully devot out attention back on our relationship duuring this monumental time in our lives. I'm not going to lie having had babies so early into our relationship caused us to lose some of our passion. I think just from comparing notes with my girlfriends, most men do not understand how strenous it is on a woman when she becomes a mother. Mentally, physically and psychologically, we put so much pressure and expectations on ourselves in regards to motherhood, our romance seems to take a back seat. At least it did for me, but having this time away together allowed us to fall deeper in love-it was magical and so unbelievably special. Everytime I look at this picture I can see our emotions of PURE joy and happiness on our faces.

How adorable are these little munchkins? My neice, Emarie is the blonde baby, with Hudson in the center, and Harlow on the far right. Andy as well as my family all decided to have a baby, or babies in our case, at the same time in 2013. It is sooo fun to have our families experience all of their milestones so close together and have so many cousins the same age. God surely blessed our families all at once.

The secret to my nutrion that I am OBSESSED with is yummy, organic shakes. The reason for my obsession is that it allowed me to lose 80 pounds from my pregancy with the twins. Yes, I gained 80 pounds... Bounced back quicker than I had imagined I would and left me full of energy, and my health has never been better. I'm addicted to this health, and the amount of blessings that have come from this is incredible! So every single morning I have a shake and one following my workouts, every day.
My FARM BOYS at the fair...My HUBS wanted to dress the part... Been around me too long! This was also the first time Hudson and Harlow had been to the fair. They rode ponies and destroyed their first  icecream cone...While I took this picture Harlow screamed hysterically, she wanted to get back on the pony haha.

I think we may have a little cowgirl in the horizon...

True beauty radiates from the inside-out, in that order. I will never stop growing as a person in matters of my heart and the kind of person I want to be to the rest of humanity. I want my smile to bring joy to a stranger, I want them to feel my compassion and be moved by my joy.

Still moments are priceless and welcomed with an open heart.

My SKINNNN THOUGH... I love that my nutrition is doing work from the inside out.NUTRIENTS WELCOMED HERE... A healthy and fit mama is exactly the kind of role model I want to be for H&H. You know those cheesey magazines we all read that swear that just by drinking more water it will help the quality of our skin? I'm not going to lie--that's never worked for me. What is working is my nutrition--that simple. I'm turning 30 in December--and I am DAMN proud of it. I will be embracing that birthday with open arms and no bra!

My husband and I escaping to a wedding.  We will take any excuse to look SEXY for one another!I love that we tell each other how 'HOT' we are to one another. Being told you're beauitiful as a mother and woman are right up there with trust, honesty, and respect....Affirmations are the KEY to a happy wife. FACT.

Sometimes nothing is greater than getting in your car and driving nowhere. "Not all that wander are lost."

Small clip of a  TRX workout. Just a taste... Jump squats, One-legged Lounges/alternate leg, Push ups with feel in straps= Effective Quick FULL BODY WORKOUT

Harlow definitely gets her fashion sense from her DAD! Wearing brother's shoes, diaper bloomer and a size, too small, custom shirt we had made for the twin's birthday. She was VERY impressed with herself! Andy and I read the book, "The 5 Love Languages." After reading that it is so TRUE that we all have our own love launguage, and the Dr. even goes on to say that small children already have their own love language! How crazy is that?! I will say,  Harlow's is most definitely 'Words of Affirmation'. She likes a good compliment--mostly being told she's pretty! Gah~!

Slides are THE COOL thing when you're 17 months old. I DIE for this little face!

I know every parent thinks their child is the greatest... BUT OUR TWINS are the funniest people I know! Love being their mama! Everyday is another day I survived parenthood and all of their little tests on how far they can push their parents... HAHAHAHA... BUT they KNOW, I'm a sucker for their cute little faces!

"MOM-we aren't moving until you stop with the cleaning and PLAY!" Toddle mode has officially hit the Greenslitt household... Let me tell you--not so easy with TWO of them getting into toilets, laundry, cleaning supplies, DVD's, and dresser drawers... God bless the parents who can make having multiples look so easy... These days it's survival mode for this mama!
